I have tried many things over the three years since the accident including physical therapy and chiropractic. These helped somewhat but I still had pain and reduced range of motion. My doctor gave me a referral for pain shots and I had an appointment to start them when I heard about Belle and myofascial release massage. I decided to try that first and it helped so much I canceled my appointment for the shots. I have been getting a monthly massage and I feel so much better! I highly recommend trying it. - Kelley D Read Less – Kelley D, , | I began seeing Belle for massage therapy to address physical symptoms I was experiencing as a result of stress. She was very professional, taking time during each session to gain a thorough understanding of my concerns. I was surprised at how quickly I experienced relief - this occurred after the first session! During each subsequent treatment, Belle took the time to ask how I felt since the previous massage, whether additional areas needed to be addressed, and whether any adjustments should be made to our current plan for treatment. I look forward to my sessions with Belle as I know how relaxed and peaceful I will feel afterwards, and highly recommend her to anyone considering massage therapy. --LB Read Less –LB, , | I was diagnosed with ankylosing spondylitis around 1995, and since work to maintain my flexibility and strength. Belle was recommended by my chiropractor, something for which I am very thankful. I have been going to her table for over five years; frankly I’ve lost track of exactly when I first used her massage services. Most recently, for about the past year, I’ve been on a regular schedule of about every 4-5 weeks. Belle has helped me gain greater flexibility, especially in my hips and shoulders. I am now at a point where I am able to exercise without pain. I’ve been able to build core strength and no longer constantly go ‘out of whack’ and needing a chiropractor. She does such good work that I no longer need regular sessions, but only sporadically when I make my body do things I shouldn’t, like moving furniture and hauling books. I find Belle to be a talented professional, honest, ethical and friendly. I highly recommend her massage therapy services. He was comatose for 6 months and spent an entire year in the hospital. Belle has worked with him for 6 ½ years and during this time we have seen miraculous improvements. Today, after countless hours of grueling physical therapy and weekly massage therapy sessions he is now able to walk with a walker. One of the greatest issues Belle has helped me with is my upper right hand shoulder and neck area, caused from hours of computer work. Recently I had shoulder surgery for a torn rotator cuff and bicep tendon tear and went to see Belle during my last few weeks of physical therapy. She was able to increase range of motion and decrease pain. The physical therapy for my shoulder compromised my lower back. Myofascial Release was exactly what I needed to overcome the pain. The cortisone shot finally helped and my pain had disappeared. Unfortunately, a month later, my knee was re-injured in an automobile accident and the pain was back even worse. My orthopedic surgeon couldn't give me another cortisone shot so I was once again in pain most of the time. Then I started a series of Myofascial Release sessions with Belle Jackson, BCTMB, LMT. Belle was able to give me immediate relief of the pain that lasted for a day or so at the beginning. Gradually the pain got better and the release held longer. The automobile insurer paid for the treatments and I was very relieved. Belle Jackson is a very professional and competent massage therapist. She provided all the paper work to the insurer to make sure I was reimbursed for the treatments. I highly recommend her soothing, pain reducing massages for people in pain, recovering from automobile accidents or just every day arthritis pain. I recommended Belle Jackson to my Sister and 90 year old Mother who have arthritis pain and her massages have been a big help to them as well. —Nola Giles English Read Less —Nola Giles English, , | Three to four years ago I started having some issue with numbness in my fingers on my left hand. After seeking out chiropractic help and then several follow on tests, it was determined I had pinched nerves in my neck, shoulder and elbow. I found relief with several months of physical therapy and intermittent chiropractic visits. After a year or so of completing the physical therapy the numbness started coming back I followed up with my chiropractor and started back to the exercises I learned in physical therapy. This seemed to keep the numbness at bay, until I moved away from my chiropractor. I saw him last a little more than a year ago and he recommended I find a Myofascial specialist in my area. I found Belle on the internet after some research. Belle explained the science behind Myofascial Release and has worked with me to determine what type treatment to use. We've developed a cadence that, along with my regular exercise, keeps my numbness at bay. Additionally, I've had other issues crop up that Belle has treated along the way. I was experiencing severe neck pain with greatly limited range of motion, as well as extreme tightness in my upper back, shoulders and right arm. The neck pain in particular caused tremendous discomfort, greatly interfering with my ability to perform my job. The pain was so bad that at our first session I wouldn't even allow Belle to touch my neck. With the relief I got after a couple of sessions, I let her start working directly on it. The pain decreased significantly and my range of motion returned. I can't adequately describe the amount of relief this brought me! When Belle learned myofascial release, the improvement I already felt notably increased. Besides having a neck that felt normal for the first time in years, Belle was able to return range of motion to my right arm and shoulder. This allowed me to be able to put my arm behind me and reach up between my shoulder blades – something I had barely been able to do for over 15 years. — Pat McLuckie Read Less — Pat McLuckie, , |
